North Carolina has an undeniable history of producing some of the most tenacious Marlin Fisherman anywhere, many rise to the top of the pack chasing Blue Marlin all over the world! Our Offshore waters from South to North, fed by Gulf Stream currents and eddies, offer many well-known fishing "spots" or seafloor features along the continental shelf, that under the right conditions, are prime feeding areas for a host of pelagic species including Blue Marlin. Quite a few anglers, both past, and present, fishing out of Wrightsville Beach have proven to be extremely driven and "hardcore" in their quest for that next Blue Marlin bite! We are very proud of everyone involved in the CFBMT and we would like to extend our gratitude to the people that have made, and continue to make, this tournament special.
